I was relatively new to the Christian faith when I first met Mark Jarvis. He was my Pastor for roughly 10 years and because of the example he set, it is out of great respect that I will always call him “Pastor” Mark. I could not have asked for, or hand-picked, a better role model. He was, and is, a great example of, generically, what a man should be and, more specifically, what a man of God should be. As a pastor he warmly welcomed me and my family to the Culpeper area a number of years ago, and right away invited us to join right in and become active in the ministries of Open Door Baptist Church and the American Family Association of Virginia.
