Champion Learning Centers - 2006 Accomplishments

1. Got Champion Learning Centers' 501-c3 status approved through the IRS with the hard work and support of Bob Beard and Hagazi Kebede.

2. Began Daily Devotions.  We have done devotions for the last nine months, with over 270 devotions listed on our website.  Randy Peck, Tim Smith, Sr. and Tim Smith, Jr. have birthed this vision in my heart.  This has been one of our highlights for 2006.

3. We email these devotions to over 600 people daily and respond to inquiries.

4. We became capable of receiving donations via our website through Paypal Services.

5. Recruited over 30 people for the local prison ministries (Culpeper County Jail, Coffeewood Correctional Center, and CJCC)
    *Sunday Morning Bible Studies in CCJ - led by Tom Halnon, Hagazi, Charles Lake, and myself, with other volunteers joining us
    *Women Weekly Bible Studies in CCJ - led by Patrece Susong
    *Two Sunday Evening Bible Studies in CJCC - Led by Norm Hughes and Tim Smith
    *Ministering to inmates' families - led by Karen Halnon

6. Contracting with Human Services of Culpeper to develop a Reentry Program to assist inmates as they are released from incarceration.  We are working with Lisa Peacock on this project.

7. There were over 100 Professions of Faith and hundreds of people were taught the four Fs (Faith, Fitness, Family and Finances) through donated Bibles, Correspondent Courses, brochures, calendars, tapes and videos.


2007 Vision and Plans - From Redemption to Reentry

*Developing a simply system that is easily reproduced and measurable; to take a person from "Warfare to Whole-Care to Share-Care."

*Developing relationships with police officers, jailers, probation officers, Human Service personnel, state leaders and business persons to bridge the relationship with the inmates.

*Developing an intercession prayer network for Culpeper to pray for inmates and their families.
